Since you are now paired with another Advisory class for the next few weeks, take the time today to get to know each other.
Teambuilding Game Ideas
Rock Paper Scissors Contest-everyone pairs up, winners keep going, loser sits down, until final winner
Line up: Students line up in many different orders. It's fun to do a few where the students cannot talk to each other but have to use other ways to communicate. Check after the line up to see if they were correct
Height order
Month Birthday order
Shoe size order
Number of siblings order
Two Truths and a Lie: Each student stands up to share something about themselves, but only 2 of the facts are true and one is a lie. Other students/teachers have to guess the lie
Who is it?: Each student writes a fact about them down on a piece of paper and turns them in to the teacher or student reader. The teacher/reader randomly selects a paper and reads the fact and the class has to guess who they think it belongs to
Blind Drawing: Pick a partner from the other class. You each sit back to back with a paper and pencil. One person is the speaker, the other can not talk. The speaker draws a simple picture and tries to describe step by step what they are doing to the listener, who is also drawing the same picture based on the instructions from the speaker. The listener cannot ask any questions, so speaker needs to be very clear in their instructions (i.e is the paper landscape or portrait, where on page you are starting, how big of a line you are drawing, etc. )
