If the competition winner fails to accept the prize within seven days, they will forfeit the prize without recourse. In the event of non-acceptance, a supplementary winner may be determined at the Promoter’s discretion.

Forms of overland travel other than trains are not included in the prize fund. The winner is free to use one or more momondo domains in planning their journey. The winner has a maximum of four weeks to conduct this planning. At the end of their planning phase, they must submit to momondo a fully documented list of proposed bookings. momondo will supply the winner with a document in which they must submit these proposed bookings. All proposed bookings must total no more than 15,000 EUR. The winner’s journey must include, where possible, a visit to each of the countries and regions listed in the DNA test results. Layovers in countries not listed in their DNA test results are allowed. Preferably, the winner’s journey will be a single itinerary where all destinations are visited consecutively. However, in acknowledgement of circumstances that may prevent the winner from taking a single, extended break (for example employment or academia), the winner may divide their journey into multiple itineraries. There are no limits on how many itineraries the winner creates, other than the total prize fund, and that all travel must be completed before 00:00, September 30th, 2017. The winner may invite one travel partner for a portion of, or all of, their journey. The cost of their travel partner’s flights and accommodation must come from the prize fund. The winner must also submit scanned copies of their (and, if applicable), their travel partner’s passports photo pages. Further details will be provided to the winner once they have accepted their prize. Once momondo has received all the requisite documentation, momondo will complete the bookings on behalf of the winner. In the event of one or more of the winner’s proposed bookings no longer being available, and/or price fluctuations having caused the total value of proposed bookings to exceed the prize fund, momondo and the prize winner will enter a correspondence in order to find alternative bookings. If the value of winner’s journey totals less than 15,000 EUR, the remainder of the prize fund will not be transferred as cash to the entrant.

60. All Phase Two 2nd prize winners are responsible for planning their return flights to their single chosen destination and finding requisite suppliers for those flights. The winner must find suppliers on momondo. The winner is free to use one or more momondo domains in planning their journey. They have a maximum of four weeks to conduct this planning. At the end of their planning phase, they must submit to momondo a fully documented list of proposed bookings. momondo will supply the winner with a document in which they must submit these proposed bookings. All proposed bookings must total no more than 1,000 EUR. Winners are free to invite a travel partner with them. If the travel partner is not of adult age, and if the winner is not the legal guardian of the travel partner, the winner is responsible for seeking permission for the travel partner to travel from the travel partner’s legal guardian. The cost of their travel partner’s return flights must also come from the prize fund. Once momondo has received all the requisite documentation, momondo will complete the bookings on behalf of the winner. There are no limits on how many flight legs the winner creates, other than the total prize fund and that all travel must be completed before 00:00, September 30th, 2017. In the event of one or more of the winner’s proposed bookings no longer being available, and/or price fluctuations having caused the total value of proposed bookings to exceed the prize fund, momondo and the prize winner will enter a correspondence in order to find alternative bookings. If the value of winner’s journey totals less than 1,000 EUR, the remainder of the prize fund will not be transferred as cash to the entrant.

61. All Phase Two 1st and 2nd prize winners are responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included (as stated in these Terms and Conditions), including, where applicable, visa fees, communication costs, transport to and from the respective airports, additional accommodation fees, living expenses, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.

62. All Phase Two 1st and 2nd prize winners are responsible for any costs associated with changes or cancellations in connection with their flights and accommodation.
