Katie Timm, owner-operator of K.T. 's Wreath's & Floral, makes wreaths with love and sells her beautiful work.

Timm said she was inspired to turn her passion of creating wreaths into “a small business I can do whenever without getting overwhelmed with orders.”

Upon realizing that she really enjoys creating wreaths and “gets lost in the moment,” Timm said she created this business because she wanted to try making a little money by selling her work.

When it comes to becoming a larger business, Timm does not wish to make her small business too large. Although, she would like to make her business a little bigger, she doesn’t want to be working full-time and wants to be able to spend time with her grandchildren.

Most of the wreaths that Timm’s customers have liked and purchased have been Christmas and Halloween-themed. The most popular Christmas wreaths that Timm has created have been Santa and snowman-based swags. This type of wreath isn’t shaped like a circle. Rather, it is to be displayed in the vertical position.

Halloween wreaths crafted by Timm can, as an option, be made with grapevines placed on them.

These wreaths can take quite some time. For example, Timm recently constructed a fall-themed wreath she said took her about four days.

“They normally take about two days,” Timm said.

She is proud of a fall-themed wreath made as a birthday gift, because when she was building it, “everything just blended into place,” she said.

When she builds these wreaths for her family and customers, Timm said she’s “doing it with love.”
