At Canyon Hills Center, Associate Director Michelle Williamson-Hall is afforded opportunities to create memories by assisting the 32 residential children and teaching them coping skills and social skills.

“Kids come here because they are not able to keep themselves safe at home,” Williamson-Hall said, “because they are a danger to themselves or others.”

Initially, Williamson-Hall was hired as a clinical therapist. Later, she became a clinical supervisor and then the associate director. Her job consists of counseling family members to help them work through their trauma as well as hiring, training and working with the staff.

She works in this field, Williamson-Hall said, because she “wanted to work with kids and help them during hard times like other adults helped me through hard times.”
