Embracing possibilities, instructor Coleen Keffeler and her Culinary Arts students made the trek across town to Sturgis Coffee Company.
"The purpose of the field trip is to introduce students to the entrepreneurial side of the Hospitality and Tourism Cluster," Keffeler said, adding "Sturgis Coffee Company has been hosting the ProStart/Culinary Arts students for 13 years."
Owner Anna Rowett shared how she got involved in the coffee business, how the business has changed over the years, why attitude is just as important as skills no matter what career one pursues. She also shared life advice. To paraphrase an example: Surround yourself with people who you support you and people who can help you with things you don't know.
