FCCLA members have been helping out around the Sturgis community.
The group spent time volunteering during the soup supper held for farmers and ranchers in addition to collecting non-perishable food in October’s Trick or Feed event.
At the soup supper, FCCLA members cleaned up tables while other groups served community members who showed up to support local farmers and ranchers who lost livestock in the early October storm.
During the Trick or Feed event, more than 700 pounds of food was gathered to be given to the food pantry. This food will most likely be given out within the span of two days since the Food Pantry typically gives out around 350 pounds of food per day.
