One Act Play Highlighted

"Savings the Greeks: One Tragedy at a Time" a Sturgis Brown High School one act production under the direction of June Dill, assisted by Tere Froelich, was performed at the Sturgis Community Center Theater on Tuesday, January 24th. Pictured: Peon (Jeff Nelson), Dialysis (Cole Sawyer), Lysistrata (Willow Cowherd) and Electra (Tess Jones). Nelson, Sawyer, and Jones received Outstanding Actor Awards at the State One Act Festival in Aberdeen, held on February 2-3.

Chorus members include Mikkayla Johnson, Amanda Barrows, Shannon Kymala, Erika Cerveny and Megan Moravec; along with Cole Sawyer, Jeff Nelson, and in the background is statue Hannah Aker. Aker and fellow statue, Gabe Harms, received Outstanding Ensemble Award at the State One Act Festival.

Dialysis performed by Cole Sawyer in the one act play "Saving the Greeks: One Tragedy at a Time" talking about creating "Betterland."

Oedipus performed by Brendon Cerveny, Messenger played by Sam Ricci and Jocasta performed by Lisa Stanley were on the stage during the One Act play.
