German Band waltzes in while the Jazz Band swings into Novemberfest

“Its a good educational experience for the students,” Instructor Dave Martinson said about the German Band and Jazz Band musicians as they prepare for the upcoming Novemberfest, an annual fundraiser for the Sturgis Music Boosters Club.

The Novemberfest will be held at the local Armory on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. German Band will be playing polkas, waltzes and the Flying Dutchman. The Jazz Band will be playing swing and big band music.

They will be taking donations, but there will be no admissions, and everyone is welcome.
