STURGIS, SD -- At an assembly held Jan. 20, students and staff were inspired and entertained by the Crevier family’s Spin-tacular Basketball Show, Champions Forever.

The show features “Four Time Guiness World Record Holder” for basketball spinning, Bruce Crevier, his wife, Diane and their 12 children, ages 4-25. Individuals appeared to be transfixed by the incorporation of basketballs, unicycles, music and the message they shared about making the right choices.

Bruce said that they were contacted by Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) adviser Kamette Keffeler for the assembly. FCA members then promoted the event at the high school.

Youth Leadership Team, under the guidance of advisers Dadra Avery, Pam Vinson and Shawn Koontz, helped by securing funding for the show from ABC Action for the Betterment of the Community.

According to Keffeler, in addition to their performance at the high school, the Crevier family also performed at Piedmont Elementary, Sturgis Middle School.

“The Alliance of Churches funded the night show at the high school,” she said.
