From the start menu, select Active Directory Users and Computers.
Select Flogistix Users. In this folder are locations of users you can choose from. For this tutorial, we will be adding a user to OKC. Open OKC to view the users in this folder.
Click on the new user icon. This icon looks like a person and is located at the top of the window in the toolbar.
In the next step, fill out the form as shown. The User logon name will consist of the first letter of the user's first name, followed by their last name. In this case, the users logon name is tuser.
Click Next, and in the next screen you will enter a password. the default password that all users get initially is located in the Credentials page. Check the tab that tells the user to change their default password at their next log in.
In the description tab, enter the users user name. For instance, here we will enter tuser.
Click Next, and finalize the new user. Once your user is created right click on the user and select properties. Select the General tab and enter the users email with the same naming convention as the users name. For instance, this users email will be tuser@flogistix.com. This is important for syncing the users email with gsync.
In the Member Of tab, add any groups you wish this user to be a part of.
Be sure to click Apply, and then click OK. Your new user is now added.
There may be an instance where you want to copy permissions from an existing user. To do this, select a user you wish to copy from and right click, Copy. Fill out the form as you would any new user from this point. If you choose to copy a user, there will be no need to add and special permissions to this user. Aside from all the relevant user information that makes the new user unique, all of the copied permissions will stay with the new user.
