This Policy is completed and is waiting Field Service, Engineering, and EHSS approval.
The purpose of this procedure is to establish the minimum requirements for setting the LOGIX control panel Program Recipes. The procedure applies to all LOGIX panels equipped with the Program Recipes option in the program. This procedure is to ensure the proper setting of the Program Recipes in the LOGIX panel as laid out in this procedure.
This procedure applies to all units that are equipped with the LOGIX panel that has the Program Recipes option currently in service in the Field, Test Loop, at a Repair Shop, or in Storage Yards. Flogistix Service Technicians will perform the task of setting the correct Program Recipes in the LOGIX panel as laid out in this procedure.
Before any work is performed a JSA needs to be done according to Flogistix procedure along with any Customer requirements before any work is started.
Program Recipes:
After installing a new PLC the recipes will need to be set in the PLC for the specific unit type.
Recipes contain specific information to the unit type like engine model, compressor model, RPM settings for the governor, if equipped with poppets and how many.
If we didn’t have recipes for each model type we would have to load up to around 1700 data points for each model type every time we programed a new PLC.
Sometimes when a LOGIX panel may not seem to be functioning correctly or gives an error screen, the recipes can be re-downloaded to try to correct the issue.
To access the Program Recipes you will need to be logged in with Advanced Technician or higher access level.
To access the Program Recipes go to the Settings Page
On the latest PLC programs if accessing the Settings Page and the Program Recipes button is not visible as in this example shown below, then the unit is either running, or the unit is not running, but the switch on the front of the panel is still in the On position.
The Program Recipes button is only visible if the unit is not running and the switch is in the Off position
On older units that have the Off/On switch the switch will need to be in the Off position.
On newer units that do not have the On/Off switch on the front of the LOGIX panel the main screen will need to have the Green Push to Start Comp. button showing
With the unit Off the Settings page should look like the example shown below with the Program Recipes button now showing.
To access the program recipes touch the Program Recipes button.
After touching the Program Recipes button the Recipes_Page should be visible.
To download the program recipes start by touching the Analog Input Recipe button. Shown below with a Red Arrow
The unit type will need to be selected, as in this example shown below we will select FX10 button.
After the button turns Blue then push the Load button at the bottom of the page.
After the Analog Input Recipe has completed the download, continue with all the remaining program recipes including the
MODBUS Recipe #1 and
MODBUS Recipe #2
After all Recipes have been downloaded there nothing else that needs to be done to complete the Program Recipe process. Close the Recipes_Page by touching the X in the top right corner of the page.
