The Scada notification system utilizes text and/or email to notify customers and staff about changes in device fault codes. The user must first be added to the contact list for their company. Please Note: You will need a username and password to access scada notifications.
New Contact area - New contacts are added in this area. A contact name is required. Users may specify a phone number AND/OR a valid email address to set up notifications.
Search Field - Use this field to filter contacts (when in the contacts view) or devices (when in the devices view). The clear button is used to clear all input and show all devices.
Contact/Device List - When in the contact view, displays list of all contacts for company. If in the device view, a paginated list will be displayed of all devices assigned to your company.
View Toggle - This button switches between the contacts view (default) and the device view.
A new contact can be added to your company with these simple steps:
On the left, type in the new contact's information including:
Full Name
Phone Number
Carrier
Email address (If Applicable)
Press Add Contact button. Please Note: Contacts added should be unique/new contacts. If you are unsure if a contact exists you may search for a contact.
If a user hasn't been created yet see New Contact.
On an existing user a popup box will appear allowing you to add your first notification.
In the New Unit Notification field: Begin typing the name of the unit you wish to add a notification for. Use the up and down arrows to select the unit from the list and press enter to choose the highlighted option.
Next you will choose the times you want this newly created contact to be notified. By default, the 24 hour option is selected. If you would like to specify another timeframe:
Uncheck 24 Hour Notifications. The Start Time and End Time dropdown boxes are now available for editing.
To edit the Start Time option: Click the dropdown box and choose a time.
To edit the End Time option: Click the dropdown box and choose a time.
Now choose how notifications will be sent. Please Note: In order to send notifications the relevant field must be specified i.e. a contact's phone number and carrier must be specified to send them text notifications.
Morning reports can be requested. A morning report sends a daily report around 6:00AM CST with detailed information about the device in question.
When you have made all necessary changes press the Add Notification button.
The process for updating contacts and notifications begins by pressing the Edit button to bring up the popup window for the specific contact you wish to modify.
After pressing the edit button a popup will appear on screen.
Ensure that the Contact Information tab is active. Change any information about the contact.
When all changes are complete press Save Changes to dismiss the popup.
Ensure that the Unit Notifications tab is active.
Press the Edit button of the unit you wish to edit.
Information for the selected unit will slide into view. Make any changes and press the Save Changes button. This will save all changes and switch back to the main notifications view.
The process for deleting contacts and notifications begins by pressing the Edit button to bring up the popup window for the specific contact you wish to make the changes to.
Ensure that the Delete Contact tab is active. Press the Delete User button to remove the selected contact.
Ensure the User Notifications tab is active.
Find the notification you wish to remove and press the Remove button.
On the Contacts tab: begin typing in the Find Contact field. As you type the table will begin to filter down to match what you've typed in the field. Press the Edit button at any time to look at a contact. Press the Clear button to clear any input and show the entire contact list.
On the Devices tab: begin typing in the Find Device field. As you type the table will begin to filter down to match what you've typed in the field. Press the Edit button at any time to look at a device. Press the Clear button to clear any input and show the entire device list.
