There may be some confusion when dealing with a large shipment of units. If for some reason an IP address is accidentally misrepresented this page can help you find the true IP of the GX400 you are trying to program. If you tried entering an ip address followed by :9191 and the browser gave you an error, you are most likely in the right place.
You will need to make a few changes to your computer so that you can directly connect to the GX400. You will also need a network cable to connect the GX400 to your PC.
Disconnect from the internet and connect the AirLink to your PC via network cable.
Change your computers IP address to 10.50.5.8
Make sure the Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0
Connect to the device by using 10.50.5.1:9191 in the URL of your browser.
At this point you can either apply the template and firmware updates, or simply grab the correct IP address from the unit and return to the activation guide. It is preferred that you log out at this point and install the updates wirelessly. Installing the actual updates does not take a great deal of time. What takes time is rebooting the device several times, and this occurs no matter what type of internet connection you have. Installing the updates wirelessly verifies that in the case where you would need to do this in the field, the process has been tried and proven on the device.
NOTE: Until the IP address is verified by Verizon, it will change periodically. Wait until the actual IP address has been assigned before you proceed with entering the unit information into the database.
The IP address can be verified under the Status tab, by clicking on the Home section. By default this is the starting point when you log into the ACE Manager. Credentials to log into this page can be found in the Credentials section.
