This Policy is completed waiting on Field Service, Engineering & Safety approval.
The purpose of this procedure is to establish the requirements for properly rebuilding of the Kimray High Pressure valve as laid out in this procedure. The purpose is to make sure that the valve is properly operating and is not leaking.
This procedure applies to all rotary screw compressor units that are in currently in service and running in the field, running on the Test Loop, or running at a repair shop. Flogistix Service Technicians will perform the proper removal, rebuild and any diagnostics as required on a Flogistix compressor package. This procedure is to be used as a guide to the proper rebuild of the Kimray High Pressure valve.
Before any work is performed a JSA needs to be done according to Flogistix procedure along with any Customer requirements before any work is started.
Before any work is performed all Safety precautions and LOTO must be in-place according to Flogistix policy for the unit type.
To properly rebuild the high pressure valve unit need to be shut down and LOTO. You do not have to remove the valve to rebuild it as it can be done while still installed on the skid. We have include how to disassemble and rebuild videos to help you with the process. The video is for a 2" valve but is the same concept. Also the PDF files are attached for the valve with parts numbers and diagrams.(see bottom of page)
Once valve is rebuilt and back in operation you unlock LOTO and perform operation check.
