The purpose of this policy is to establish roles and responsibilities for the Flogistix Initial Ride-Along Basic Training Program.
Area Manager - Upon completion of New Hire Orientation and Safety Training, the area manager is required to assign a Qualified Mentor to the New Hire Employee. The Area Manager will issue a copy of the New Hire Initial Ride Along Basic Training Checklist Rev 001 - Employee.doc (which can be downloaded from this page) to the New Hire Employee. Once the Initial Ride Along Basic Training Program has been completed, the Area Manager is to review the New Hire Initial Ride Along Basic Training Checklist Rev 001 - Employee.doc checklist with the Qualified Mentor and the New Hire Employee to determine if the New Hire Employee has successfully completed the Initial Ride Along Basic Training Program. The Area manager will complete the New Hire Initial Ride Along Basic Training Checklist Rev 001 - Area Manger.doc (which can be downloaded from this page) checklist and retain the file for future reference. The Area Manager will check progress weekly with the Mentor & New Hire to ensure it is being completed as needed.
Qualified Mentor - The Qualified Mentor is a Field Service Technician that have been approved as a mentor by the Area Manage and the Field Service Director. Upon completion of New Hire Orientation and Safety Training, the Qualified Mentor will review the New Hire Initial Ride Along Basic Training Checklist Rev 001 - Employee.doc with the New Hire Employee. The Qualified Mentor is responsible for ensuring that the New Hire Employee has received adequate training and and is competent to complete each task that is outlined in the New Hire Initial Ride Along Basic Training Checklist Rev 001 - Employee.doc checklist. The mentor will follow the Mentors Guide linked below to deliver proper training. Once each task is completed it is to be initialized by the Qualified Mentor. Once the Initial Ride Along Basic Training Program has been completed, the Qualified Mentor is to review the New Hire Initial Ride Along Basic Training Checklist Rev 001 - Employee.doc checklist with the Area Manager and the New Hire Employee to determine if the New Hire Employee has successfully completed the Initial Ride Along Basic Training Program. The Mentor will check in weekly with the Area Manager to ensure the checklist is being completed as needed.
New Hire Employee - Upon completion of New Hire Orientation and Safety Training, the New Hire Employee will be issued a copy of the New Hire Initial Ride Along Basic Training Checklist Rev 001 - Employee.doc from the Area Manager and shall review with the employees Qualified Mentor. It is the New Hire Employees responsibility to retain this checklist, ensuring that the Qualified Mentor has initialed the specific tasks as they are completed. If there are any issues with completing the outlined task or issues with the Qualified Mentor , it is the New Hire Employees responsibility to report them to the Area Manager. The New Hire will check in weekly with the Area Manager to ensure the checklist is being completed as needed.
