AFLAC Group Insurance

Employees eligible for insurance benefits with the district may also purchase additional insurance coverage through AFLAC. These group insurance plans may offer lower rates than would otherwise be available through individual plans with AFLAC.

AFLAC offers insurance eligible employees 3 plans to buy into: 1) a group accident plan, 2) a group critical illness plan, and 3) a hospital indemnity plan.

Enrollment: Employees may purchase this insurance through monthly voluntary payroll deductions, and enrollment in these plans normally occurs in August each year during the open enrollment period. Interested employees should attend the beginning of year benefits orientation meeting to enroll online in the program.
