District Wellness Policy

Beaver County School District Wellness Policy - Board Adopted August 12, 2014

The premise behind the district policy includes:

1. The Board has expressed a desire to allow schools to formulate and tailor policies and plans like this at the local level--rather than develop a district wide global plan.

2. The attached policy is geared towards meeting federal and state compliance requirements.

3. To meet intent of #1 & #2, the policy directs each school and the district food service program to develop specific plans with input from many. Once each plan is developed, school community councils and the Board would approve each plan.
