When schools use city or county facilities or property for school activities, the school should coordinate with the district office well in advance of the activity. If the activity is approved, the district will make arrangements to provide the city/county with 1) an indemnity agreement and 2) a certificate of liability insurance to cover the activity. The school will need to provide the district office with the following:
1) A description of the activity--including a schedule of events.
2) Contact information for the city/county--i.e. name(s), mailing address, fax number, e-mail, phone number, etc.
High School Athletics: The high school principal should ensure these procedures are followed when their school athletics program uses city/county facilities & property.
