Making replacement book covers using google slides

Get the cover pictured above for Harry Potter #5 The Order of the Phoenix

How to on Google Slides:

• Open up Google Slides

• Page Set Up Custom

• 11 x 8.5 inches

• ok

• Rotate Title text box to Vertical 

• resize text box to fit size of slide - this is for the Title of the book on the spine

• print out a rough draft

• adjust text box location to fit actual spine placement 

• move and resize the subtitle box to the right side of the slide to be your new title and author (if needed)

• search for a new cover image on google 

• click on the image tab

• size large

• look for movie posters if the book has been made into a movie

• copy photo ctrl c

• paste photo on to google slide ctrl v

• resize photo to size of slide

• arrange order send to back

• Change text color to show up black on light or white on dark

• Print in color

• Cut and paste onto construction paper

• Cut Construction paper to fit the actual cover
