Personal Statement

Many Colleges require a Personal Statement as part of their application process. Some teachers assign this as a class project.

Some students have a very hard time talking about themselves, so it helps to have an outline to follow.

Outline:

Paragraph One

What program are you applying for and how did you develop an interest in this topic?

Paragraph Two:

  • Answer Personal Insight Question

Paragraph Three

  • Answer Personal Insight Question

Paragraph Four

  • Answer Personal Insight Question

Paragraph Five

  • Answer Personal Insight Question

Paragraph Six: Conclusion

  • Talk about your plans for the future if you get accepted in the program
