NonFiction

There are a few nonfiction books that read like fiction. Our library catalogs them as adult, but they would also be appropriate for older teens.

From Baghdad With Love by Lt. Jay Kopelman is the story of Kopelman’s successful attempt to bring home a stray dog that he “adopted” while serving in Iraq.

In The Dog Who Rescues Cats by Philip Gonzalez, Mr. Gonzalez writes movingly about his dog, Ginny, who had the uncanny ability to seek out and rescue homeless, and sometimes injured, cats.

My Life In Dog Years by Gary Paulsen
