Hero

The author who created the most details for the Mandalorian culture established in Star Wars Insider #86: "There is no Mandalorian word for hero. Heroic behavior is expected of both genders: it's not exceptional."

However, the author also had a few Mando characters in the novels refer to certain people as a "hero" in Galactic Basic. A likely possibility is that author meant that Mandos do not have a word that means "idol," "icon," or "paragon." Instead, Mandalorians have the option to use a number of Mando'a words for describing characteristics that make a person a "hero."
