This red silk dress by Jan Van Velden featured a white Puritan collar edged in a pointy zig zag that was picked up around in the red silk fabric at the dropped waist of the dress. At first glance, it may appear to be a suit, but it is in fact one of Diana’s favoured shirt-waist style dresses, fastened at front down to the waist with red buttons.
It was worn on tours of Canada and Oz/New Zealand in the early 1980s. Diana was in a phase of these big pointy collars, and they often featured on her maternity day dresses.
I haven’t found any replicas of it, but the hat was one included with a different outfit with the Danbury Mint Royal Wardrobe.
As an outfit for the FM vinyl doll, I'd like to see it include:
1. Dress
2. Hat
3. Red shoes
4. White hose
5. Red clutch bag
6. Gold watch
7. Earrings
