After the nothing burger fit the press had about the Black Emmanuel evening gown on her first official public engagement with Prince Charles, Diana supposedly took awhile before she added black back into her wardrobe unless it was for Poppy Day commemorations. This Victor Edelstein number is a cheeky cocktail number.
It features an off-shoulder neckline and a fairly standard cocktail dress pencil skirt shape until you look at the back where it flairs into a shortened bustle style that turns it into a kind of quintessential 1980s mullet party dress based on a tuxedo style. Unfortunately, it doesn't show up well on photos.
She complimented it with her ruby and pearl drop earrings, black and gold scroll embellished pumps and a matching black clutch.
As an outfit for the FM vinyl doll, I'd like to see it include:
1. Belted Dress
2. Black/gold scroll pumps
3. Black/gold embellished evening bag
4. Earrings
5. Sheer black hose
