Lot 57 – Pink Satin Gown

This gown was a firm Diana favourite, and was worn many times to events and for an official portrait with Charles.  It’s another Catherine Walker that raised nearly $29,000.

A gorgeous v-waist ball ballgown shape with a moderately full skirt, the bodice is trimmed at the portrait style neckline and cuffs with white raw silk, and features lovely self-fabric covered buttons in a double-breasted pattern.  It’s a regal enough gown to deserve the Queen Mary pearl tiara, a string of pearls and a gold bangle bracelet.
