Another chic red dress, this one in a Tomas Starzewski typical tiered style was worn to the Expo '92 event in Seville.
The dress is constructed of two fabrics: the upper part in a matte fire engine red crepe silk and the bottom in a closely matched satin. The neckline is a wide hybrid scoop/jewel neckline, edged with about a 1 1/2" band of the satin, which is repeated at the end of each 3/4 length sleeve. The neckline band displays a brooch style silver ring/button embellishment placed just off-centre.
This lines up down the front of the skirt tiers add another silver ring on each tier, making the skirt segments stand out. The embellishments have a red-centre, and because the skirt tier band have an edge, appear as if they are "buttoning" each level of the skirt. The skirt ends a good inch above the knee and at the back there is a square-shaped notch.
She complimented it with her ruby and pearl drop earrings, a red satin clutch and red sling backs.
S 'n' E did a stunning replica of the shoes.
