White Versace Shift

In 1995, Diana attended a benefit in Italy for Bosnian children in this white minimalistic Versace cocktail dress. She was enthusiastically greeted by Pavarotti with big hug.

The tank straps are embellished with buckles of the gold Versace Medusa head emblem both on the front and back of the dress. The hem is sky high on what is really a very basic tank shift dress. It fits Diana like a glove. She accessorised with her South Sea pearl drop hoop earrings, a heavy gold link bracelet, a white evening clutch, white cross-over arch strap evening shoes and a glorious tan.

Oddly enough despite its simplicity, it's not often copied, at least that I've been able to find.

She wore a nearly identical black version the same year as the pared back style suited the new life she was making.
