The majority of replica makers featured in this web site are listed on this page. Not everyone listed is/was a seller or may no longer be selling. Some have sadly passed away, others have moved on to other ventures. but their contribution to the hobby has been recognised. We don't know if they are selling, we don't involve in pricing; deals are up to you. Contact details or suggestions how to get in touch are provided where known.

Do you know any left off the list? Email princessdianadollclub@gmail.com with details such as names, photos of items, contact details or web addresses where items can be viewed. Also helpful would be links or photos of Diana in the outfit. Listings are in no particular order and are merely intended as an easy way to document those whose work contributed to brightening our days. The plan is to create a page per replica artist with the archive of known work.

Doll Fashions By Alana

Alana is a professional doll seamstress who has made over a hundred Diana replicas over the years. She sells from her Facebook page and by email, however she has now closed down her long running website of the same name. Although she has semi-retired, she does still take the occasional commission and many of her outfits are represented throughout this website.

She also makes outfits for Kate Middleton and other FM dolls such as GWTW Scarlett, Jackie and Marilyn. Her work is highly recommended and she is a recipient of a Princess Diana Doll Club Royal Dressmaker award. Her old website and FB pages show extensive back portfolios (search the WayBack Machine to see her website at DollFashionsbyAlana.com).

She sews for many dolls and has an incredible gallery of Diana and Scarlett O'Hara/Gone with the Wind ensembles that go beyond where FM's ended. She can be reached on her Facebook page of the same name (Doll Fashions by Alana. Like many sellers, she has stopped selling on eBay but she is still sewing/taking orders on occasion.

miricreations

Miri has a home hobby business and has made dozens of Diana replicas. She sells from eBay and will take custom orders to be purchased through the site. Search by seller name by ID miricreations. She doesn't have a website or portfolio, but can be reached through the Contact Seller feature on eBay. She has been adventurous in taking on projects no one else has tried, such as a long-sleeved version of the GADCO gown. Miri's outfits are the whole enchilada, so to speak. She doesn't just provide the outfit, she accessorises as closely as she can to how Diana styled her wardrobe, even if it means custom painting FM shoes, sourcing extra touches from other dolls or copying pieces of jewelry. Her outfits usually come with many extra pieces, usually shoes, earrings and a bag but at other times, hats, necklaces, bracelets and gloves. She researches her outfits and is well-represented in the FM Wishlist.

Jane's Diana Reproductions

Jane has sold for more than two decades from her website Jane's Custom Reproductions. Jane was an early joining member of the Princess Diana Doll Club. Her main body of work has been for Diana but she also sews for the FM Kate Middleton doll. Her web pages show an extensive back portfolio with a wide range of styles including gowns, suits, dresses, casual and active wear. She does extensive research and her outfits are displayed with background information, photos of Diana and citations attributing sources of the accessories displayed with her ensembles. There is a wealth of information and a buffet of eye candy for Diana doll collectors. She uses quality fabrics and her items are highly sought after. Her designs and tailoring are of the best, so you can be sure that any outfit you buy from her will be spot on.

mini-mary

Mary has made dozens of Diana replicas over at least the last decade or more. She sells from eBay and will take custom orders to be purchased through the site. Search by seller on mini-mary and use the Contact Seller feature. Mary also does a wide range of outfits. Her work is very detailed and she often includes all sorts of little extra accessories to complete the outfit.

She was the first to make the "Vatican Visit" black lace outfit and as a buyer, I can attest that it's stunning, and it came with a teeny tiny bible, to which the rosary from the White Mother Theresa Suit can be added.

Sunnybet

Sunnybet is a collector and former member of the Princess Diana Doll Club who designed and made outfits for her own collection and occasionally sold to or traded with other collectors. No current contact details are available for her. Her outfits are exquisite and on a par with FM's. Her hats were unmatched by anyone except perhaps the late Axelle in Oz, and the attention to detail and technique are impressive.

Axelle M

Axelle was a collector and former member of the Princess Diana Doll Club located in Australia, who designed and made outfits for her own collection and occasionally traded with other collectors or sold bits and pieces. Her outfits show a lot of ingenuity in how she solved problems of decoration, fabric, scale and bulk. Her hats are perfect miniature replicas and quite sturdy in construction. She was also very careful with detailed touches such as accessories and features like buttons.

She passed away in 2017 after being stricken with breast cancer. Her daughter memorialised her work in a tribute website called Mum's Collections. The collections were liquidated a year later and her daughter made sure as many Diana pieces as possible went to her doll mates. Axie's talent was matched by her passion for her collection and she is missed as she was a sweet lady.

Joyce Stuchl

Joyce was a professional doll seamstress who was introduced to members of the Club by a former member. She lived in Northern Arizona and ran a web-based business, SheSews.com. Prior to the member commissioning some outfits, Joyce hadn't previously sewn for Diana, but once she started, she burned her way through more than two dozen fashions for Diana. She was very flexible with buyers and was willing to adjust patterns to fit porcelain or vinyl dolls for redressing as well as to off-set her prices against the buyer furnishing specialty fabric, especially if there was enough for her to make more gowns for others. She also reduced prices if gowns were sold unbeaded, allowing collectors to have a hand in creation of their treasures.

She passed away in 2004 during recovery after a heart attack, and has been greatly missed as she was instrumental in firing up the idea that we could all eventually own replicas of the entire Christie's Auction dresses as a sub-collection of the Franklin Mint People's Princess collection.

nonaAlaska

Nona is a professional doll seamstress who was introduced to the Club by a member. She lives in Alaska and sells her creations on eBay. She does a very wide range of mostly suits and gowns and charges very reasonable prices. Many of her outfits are represented on the Wishlist. She sometimes does the popular choices and other times, she surprises everyone with rare or lesser known outfits. She once appeared in a local (Alaska) newspaper in an article about her sewing with photos of her creations which she shared with her fellow members of the Princess Diana Doll Club.

She has reduce her selling over the past 5 years or so, but her items are well-sewn and her prices are seldom beaten. About the only draw-back can be the shipping costs from Alaska. Some of her items have shown up on the secondary market with a substantial mark-up. It's suggested that if you have a wishlist item, you go straight to Nona and see if she can still accommodate a custom order.

S 'n' E Shoes

S 'n' E Shoes was a mother/daughter team who got their start making shoes for Gene (by AD) and other dolls when a Club member suggested they make the Princess Diana wedding slippers. These go with the FM wedding gown ensemble for the People's Princess. They sold on eBay, also for a short time through a web page, by email custom order and possibly on Etsy, but appear to have ceased manufacturing for Diana. I miss them so much as there are at least two to three dozen items I missed during their heyday.

After the wedding slippers, they added DOZENS of models of replica shoes for Diana, then branched off into Stacey sewing replica Diana outfits which are superb. Their prices were high for the outfits but everything they made was worth every penny as each outfit came with a pair of their eponymous shoes in a handmade Diana-brand shoe box wrapped in tissue paper. Their creations ranged from improved copies of the FM standard versions of Diana's pumps to fun and hugely whimsical copies of Diana's more "fun" shoes, as well as everything in-between. They reportedly no longer answer email or messages sent via "Contact Seller" on eBay. This is truly a Di-sapointment for their fans. Stacy and Eleanor, you are missed.

333Show

333show was the eBay ID of Doris from Hong Kong who was a Club member for several years. Doris had professional skills but made Diana replicas as a hobby for fun. She made around two dozen outfits all of which were stunning and showed professional-level skills, quality materials and stellar workmanship. It was our good fortune that she decided to sell for awhile. She also sold replica jewelry, several of the pieces being as good or better than FM's (tiaras especially.) She used high quality, accurate to scale and colour fabrics and her work is still highly prized. She had a website to display her work, but this went dark around 2013.

Her creations have been incorporated into the Wishlist.

Sweet Creations

Connie is a professional doll seamstress who now sells off her Facebook page (Doll Fashions by Sweet Creations). She previously sold through her Etsy shop and website Our Sweet Creations both of which are now closed. With the help of her daughter Jenny for beading details photographing products and running the Sweet Creations website, she produced more than three dozen replica outfits for Diana. She holds the distinction of having often offered outfits for sale that no one else had tried. and that by some odd coincidence FM started later issuing on dressed dolls.

Considering the number of Diana replicas produced by Sweet Creations, one item in common could be expected, two a coincidence, but three times seems more than lucky; they beat FM and everyone to the finish line on the Navy Lace Cocktail dress, the Aquamarine One-Shoulder Gown, and the Lot 41 Grey Pearls Sarong Gown. They also made some of the gowns FM had created in Limited Edition (the Lot 20 Hachi and the Red Lame). The smoking gun? When FM were liquidating their "prototype" dolls, a seller claimed to have bought a Diana wearing the Black Emmanuel strapless opera gown AND matching stole...beaded and just as Connie had sold hers. Coincidence is just a series of dots that haven't yet been connected.

Connie is still a member of the Princess Diana Doll Club and has indicated she is open to suggestions for custom orders if she still has the fabric for your dream creation.

Tommie's Treasures

Tommie Peacock was a collector and former member of the Princess Diana Doll Club who started designing and handmaking outfits for her own collection, then turned it into a home business. She most often sold by email and occasionally on eBay. She created over three dozen outfits and got her start by selling to or trading with other collectors. No current contact details are available for her and it's believed she has passed away as her collection was liquidated by a family member in 2020. Her items included some relatively difficult designs and she was devoted to Diana's memory. Amongst her notable accomplishments were the Moschino Houndstooth suit, the Black Velvet Tuxedo gown and most especially the Minesweeper/Halo Trust body armour and visor.

Haute Couture For Dolls / Sheilah Craft

Sheilah was another collector and former member of the Princess Diana Doll Club who started designing and handmaking outfits for her own collection, then turned it into a web-based business. She set up an elaborate website most often sold by email and occasionally on eBay. She created around three dozen outfits and accessories, including a unique 4-piece accessory set for the FM wedding gown ensemble with a parasol, garter, hanger and pochette bag. My favourites of her outfits were her Steffi Graf tennis outfit and her blue smart casual blue shopping dress but she did many unusual ones. No current contact details are available for her.

PrincessHike

Hike is an artist and collector who specialises in whole item customisations. Not only does she create replica outfits, she often sells her creation on repainted and modified dolls. No detail is too small and some of her fabrics and buttons have been personally created. Her work is occasionally on eBay and you might be lucky enough to interest her in an order by commission. She does sell by email and is a member of the Princess Diana Doll Club on Facebook, so presumably can be contacted by the eBay Contact Member feature or direct message on Facebook. Her work is documented quite extensively on Pinterest, but isn't always credited as so many have converted her photos to shared pins.

JudieGene

Judie has been a long-time member of the Princess Diana Doll Club who added Diana to her creative repertoire after being an established Gene seamstress. About a dozen of her Diana replicas were shared in the early days of the group, and she was the first to create two outfits that FM later brought out in the collection; in other words Judie did the FM grey suit before FM did the FM grey suit and the red lame gown as well.

She has a special flair for hats and knitted sweaters and influenced a trend of knitting for Diana by copying her black sheep sweater and the trompe l'oeil scarf sweater which led to a lot of knitting as others brought out other sweaters. She also did a spot on copy of the British Lung Foundation sweatshirt, again starting a sweatshirt trend. It's unknown whether she still sews for Diana but she did take on a Kate Middleton outfit recently.

Sharon F

Sharon is a long-time member of the Princess Diana Doll Club who created a large number of replica casual wear (sweaters and sweatshirts.) It is unknown whether she is still sewing/selling. I know I'm missing photos of some of her things as I remember a Donna Karan "DKNY" sweatshirt of which I don't seem to have a photo. These sweatshirts were fabulous. The logos printed in perfect scale onto the item leaving no doubt which outfit they were. I have several of these and have kicked myself that I didn't get one of each.

Pam F

Pam is a long-time member of the Princess Diana Doll Club who created fairytale era gowns. It is unknown whether she is still sewing/selling. She made small number editions of outfits for sale on a private basis and her Gonzaga gown is the stuff of legend. She handpainted the fabric with watercolour paints and every detail of the decoration is included. There is not another example to match it. Many have tried, and while some honourable mentions have been achieved, this is one of my most treasured custom Diana outfits, and possibly my favourite of the non-FM items created over the years.

Hisodoll

Hisodoll is the former trading name of an eBay seller who sold about a dozen Diana replica designs, as well as miniature jewelry. Her skills are top-notch and her outfits are still admired as setting a high standard. She has turned from Diana and fashion dolls to American Girl dolls, which is truly a waste of a great talent. It is unknown whether she will still sew for Diana if you can locate her as she changed her eBay ID when she changed her sewing focus.

Anita N

Not much is known about Anita, other than she is a collector who lives in Germany and she used to sew and sell occasionally on eBay. She created about a dozen very well done copies of outfits that were sold on eBay, but hasn't been seen for awhile and no contact details are available, however her photos are eagerly passed around Pinterest.

Maganda7

Another mystery seller, Maganda7, used to sew and sell on eBay. She has a huge collection and she not only did replicas of Diana's wardrobe, she set her photos in elaborate diorama displays with elegant props to complement her outfits. She disappeared and it is unknown whether she is still sewing or selling and there are no known contact details for her. It possible her name was Georgia and that she lived in Texas. Georgia is rumoured to be retiring and downsizing her collection as well as giving up sewing. It's a true shame, as she shown an adventurous spirit in the ensembles she took on and she had a devoted following.

Jody B

Jody was a keen collector and member of the Princess Diana Doll Club who made a range of about a dozen outfits that she sold to other collectors. She had a website for a while, but it is now defunct. It's unknown whether she is still sewing for sale or collecting and no contact details are available. Her outfits ranged from evening wear to suits and coatdresses. She was the first to attempt Lot 48, the Ivory and Black Banded Mullet gown and she made many of Diana's pin-striped outfits.

Bea's Doll Boutique

I only learned about Bea by word of mouth and originally became familiar with her work from photos and outfits. I've now acquired some of these on the secondary market and can only shout her praises. I believe she is a home hobby seamstress who has another job, but she has found the time to create over 60 outfits for Diana. She has also done nearly as many for Kate Middleton and other dolls. She sells from her Facebook page. I have in the past year now purchased from her by special order as well as an eBay purchase of a Kate Gown and a Diana dress and was wowed by both.

I'm told she does take commissions and many of her outfits are represented throughout this website. Her work is highly recommended with quite well-deserved praise based on what I've seen. She used to sell on eBay but hasn't been there for quite some time, she does on a rare occasion pop up. She can be reached via her Bea's Doll Boutique Facebook Page and while you're there, have a stroll through her photo gallery. Stunning eye-candy and yet another potential drain on my disposable income is to be found.

Ann Sago

Ann Sago was a very keen collector and former member of the Princess Diana Doll Club located in the US, who designed and made outfits for her own collection and took orders from other collectors or traded bits and pieces for fabric. She was another who showed a lot of creativity in how she cracked problems in complicated outfits with intricate detail and design challenges. Her hats were almost always perfect miniature replicas and quite sturdy in construction. She made at least two dozen replicas of which I'm aware, and I suspect there were many more that I missed while taking a collecting break.

Ann contributed to the Club in many ways besides sharing her photos. She gave us the secret of her silk district fabric source in London, some of the same shops where Diana's designers shopped. Her devotion to her craft was embodied in her experimentation with buckram to achieve Diana's going away suit and breaking 9 sewing machine needles on bugle beaded fabric for a single Black Beaded Jacques Azagury Birthday Gown.

She passed away in 2006 after being stricken with breast cancer. Her daughter contacted members of the group when it came time to liquidate her collection and she is greatly missed as she had a fun sense of humour and participated in the Club on a regular basis.

Linda S - Scotti's Fancies

Linda was a sewing member of the Club who joined the first year. She ran a business mostly around other dolls from her website. She did a few Diana replicas that set a high bar for copies, such as the Lot 70 Aqua Chiffon Beaded Halter gown and the Pink and Purple "Tesco" suit. A few months before she passed away in 2006, she shared with me that she was in planning stages for a line of Diana replicas that did not come about.

Sharon W

Sharon was an eBay seller located in the UK who came to collectors' attention with her miniature custom handbags. She filled quite a niche with these as a finishing touch to outfits others were making. Then it turned out her mother could sew and Sharon teamed up with her to sell outfits on eBay. I don't have much info or photos of the outfits and would gratefully receive and display what other people have. I think these were mostly shift dresses that displayed well with the bags. Sharon eventually stopped involvement when her mother decided to park her sewing machine.

Ilse Verhoef

Ilse is a doll seamstress and was a member of the Princess Diana Doll Club who sewed for Diana and others. She lives in the Netherlands and she occasionally sold on eBay as well as by email order or posts on doll groups and sites. She has a web site that was current in 2020 called Maxamy Doll Couture where you can find her email address. It is unknown whether she is still sewing for Diana, but the handful of known outfits she produced are very well accessorised and sewn and are not always the better known or more popularly sought ones (but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having or looking at.)

Liskivano

Liskivano is an eBay seller and member of the Princess Diana Doll Club. Not much is known about her, however she has created about 18 replicas posted to eBay. The work looks to be very well-sewn and designed which is on the pro side, but on the disadvantage side, we haven't had confirmation and the prices are quite high; also no word on what shipping costs from Russia. Please post to the Club if you have more info about Liskivano and how to make contact outside of eBay as this would be useful to add to our directory. Members of the group are interested as her work looks amazing, but it can make a difference to have testimonials.

Berlicy

Berlicy is a seller I came across on eBay. She is reputedly located in Russia and one member of the Club acquired this stunning example on eBay recently.

Chapeaux Chez David

In past years, we've had outfit seamstresses. handbag makers, cobblers and some who did a couturier head-to-toe treatment. Monsieur David is a Princess Diana Doll Club member recently turned Diana milliner and he sells on eBay. This link will show if he has anything available in his atelier. He is very exclusive, however of course, you could contact him through eBay and see if he will make a bespoke copy of your favourite. See the random selection at left for some of his previous confections. He has even teamed up with one of our other seamstresses to do a joint project, Alana made an outfit and M David produced the matching millinery. Superbe!
