Once the fairytale period of her early marriage had passed, Diana moved away from the poufy eballgown trope to a more sophisticated and colourful style of cocktail dresses and suits for evening wear. And the Google/Rainbow suit is a popular one to copy.
The two piece suit starts with a black velvet jacket accented with Google colours on the colour, pockets flaps and buttons. But it's the bright satin skirt that draws the eye with its bands of bright Google branding colours. The skirt is the tiered style that was Starzewski's standout style, and Diana had a handful of his pieces, including tiered cocktail outfits in solid red, pink/black banded and monochrome and as well as a pink and brown longline and the navy piped cream suits which weren't in the tiered style. Each colour band in a tier was folded back on itself and stacked; not simply sewn together, and this makes the skirt lie better against the body.
Her earrings were a pair of the extra suit buttons from the jacket front and sleeves. Other than her black pumps with the swirly gold embellishment on the toes, her only other accessory was a tiny black evening clutch.
