Lot 41 – Grey Pearls Gown

This quietly elegant Catherine Walker sarong style gown in grey beaded silk raised almost $30,000 at the Christie’s auction and was worn as part of the auction pre-publicity photo shoot for Vanity Fair Magazine.

The gown is grey silk crepe with a pearl and sequin beaded bodice slanting down to the left hip, where it lifts in a gather fastened with a long sash bow. The neckline and arm holes are edged in denser pearl beading and the skirt is left unembellished.
