Characteristic Features:
Woody, latex bearing plants with small, naked, terminal buds
Leaves with swollen petiolar bases, lamina entire, with closely parallel secondary veins
Flowers with prominent sepals and distinctly protruding style
Seeds large, having thick, shiny, brown testa and large pale coloured hilum

Common Characteristics: Evergreen small sized trees. Leaves alternate, oblanceolate, at the tip of twigs, spirally clustered. Flower bell shaped, cream coloured. Fruit round or oval.
Flowering period: October to March
Propagation Methods: Propagated by seeds and grafting (Dave’s Garden, 2019)
