Vernacular name:  Sugar apple, Sweetsop (English); Muktaphal, Sitaphal (Hindi)

Nativity: Mexico to Colombia (POWO, 2019)

Common Characteristics: Small trees. Leaf blade elliptical to oblong. Flower whitish- green or yellow. Fruit conical or somewhat globose.

Flowering period: March to May

Propagation Methods: Propagated by seed or by grafting (Dave’s Garden)

Vernacular name:  Green champa, Telegraph pole tree (English); Ashok (Hindi)

Nativity: South India and Sri Lanka (POWO, 2019)

Common Characteristics: Tree with pendulous branches. Leaves, dark green, oblong- lanceolate, margin undulate. Flowers on thick branches, greenish.

Flowering period: February to May
