Vernacular name: Cobra's saffron, Indian rose chestnut, Ceylon ironwood (English); Naagkesar (Hindi)

Nativity:India to Indo-China and West and Central Malesia (POWO, 2019)

Common Characteristics: Evergreen medium size tree. Leaves narrow, lanceolate, drooping, white glaucous beneath. Flower white, with numerous stamens. Fruits globose.

Flowering period: February to June

Propagation Methods: Propagated by seeds (Useful Tropical Plants)
