Vernacular name:  Moss-rose, Time Flower, Portulaca (English); Nonia (Hindi)

Nativity: Bolivia to Brazil and Argentina (POWO, 2019)

Common Characteristics: Annual herbs. Rooting at  nodes. Leaves semi- cylindrical, alternate, linear. Flower semi- double or double, variously coloured.

Flowering period: April to September

Vernacular name:  Wingpod Purslane, Crownpod Purslane

Nativity: Mexico to Tropical America (POWO, 2019)

Common Characteristics: Annual herbs. Leaf blade flat, spatulate or lanceolate. Flowers yellow or pinkish, petals slightly curve outside.

Flowering period: May to October
