Self Portrait

For this, we had to draw our selfs, which if you can tell by the images is not my strong point. We had picture references we were able to grid and use as a reference. In starting this project we gridded off the paper and the image in 1 inch by 1 inch squares.

After I began to start drawing, I started by using charcoal for the hair and working my way down the face. I did this project twice to try and improve. Somethings I had trouble with getting it look like the image and making the marks seem smooth. If I were to do this a third time I would spend time working on the smaller pieces (eyes, nose, lips, etc.) so when I put them all together it would look better overall.

This project was a struggle because it wasn't something that I enjoyed to draw, I much prefer drawing other things that have more creative options rather than going along with the pure couture idea. This project was also a struggle because I like to go faster and smug things which were not the requirements for this project.
