For this project we started by making prints, one normal print one, one which you took everything off and lastly making a ghost print. all three of these print (shown above) are done one after the other without adding more ink to the block. By doing this it creates three different looking prints but they are really all the same. For My print I used netting, some weird string ,and streamers.
Once we had your three parents completed we had to choose one to extend and make into something else (located at the top). I decided to go with the middle print, the one that picked up the disen left behind from the first print. I chose to extend this one because I saw the netting as a bait bag or something that had to do with fishing and the sea. First I began to continue the lines of the netting out into the white parts of the paper, I did this with a pencil to start. After the outline of the netting was done I thought of a lobster, so I started to sketch a lobster.
Once I finished all my sketches I went in with ink and stippling the lobster help show the different patterns of a lobster. Next I wanted to add water color, I started with the lobster, I used a combination of orange, red, and brown to complete the colors of the lobster, then I added yellow to the netting. Once that was done I realized a small smug of blue in the right upper corner, I then added blue to be the ocean and cover up the smug.
