Next, I wanted to do a quick sketch to get a feel for the lay out of the image and how it all fits on the page.

After I had the sketch done I moved onto the painting part of this. I wanted to focus on acrylic for this project. To start I began by painting a bright background color so that when painting the bright colors can come through and make everything look brighter; another reason I did this is because it is often hard to start on just a white piece of paper, but having a color it makes it so there is already a mark on the page to go from. Today I just worked on getting the basics done.
