Linear Perspective

For this unit we learned how to create linear perspectives using a vanishing point. To start this we began by drawing a horizon line at eye level then along the horizon line we added a point for one point linear perspective and two points for two. Then by drawing only horizontal, vertical, or connecting to the vanishing point lines we created these shapes. The first project we did with linear perspective was one point. starting with a horizon line and only having one point. After this was completed I drew squares bad out of only horizontal and vertical lines, after I connected the points to the vanishing point. Once we had done some practice with one point linear perspective we started with two point.

The only difference from one point to two point is that one as one and two has two. With two point perspective you still only draw horizontal, vertical, or connecting to the vanishing points lines; but with this it shows up as your looking straight ahead at the object so you see both sides. After we had practiced both of these perspectives we started your final project, this was to sit in the hall and draw what you see. Then once completed with the overall image go in and add some short of creative twist.

The image that was created for this project is the second one down, it started out with just a drawing of the door and hallway around but then after I finished I went back in with sharpie and added color and patterns to other small parts. I started out but filling in the door to look alot like a black hole then realized that with all that color in the center is was hard to focus on the rest so then I went in and add other colors and patterns to help spread out the viewpoints.
