The Knoll - Hidden Treasure

Post date: Aug 24, 2016 6:28:30 PM

We were recently fortunate enough to be allowed a look around one of Cleethorpes' landmark buildings, The Knoll. Built in 1898 by Henry Kelly, the Grade II listed building remained in the Kelly family until 1945, later becoming council offices.

As the building is not readily accessible to the public, we took the opportunity to take some photos of some of the beautiful original features to share with you.

We're currently doing some research into both the Kelly family and their cousins and business partners the Moodys who lived across the road from them in Knoll House for many years. There are some great stories coming out of our research and we hope to bring them to you soon.
