CITiZAN Talk - 23rd April

Post date: Apr 24, 2016 1:54:21 PM

A good crowd turned out at St Peter's School in Cleethorpes on Saturday 23rd April for CITiZAN's latest reprise of their talk on our hidden heritage.

If you're interested in becoming a volunteer and helping CITiZAN with their research into the trackway, you

can contact them via their website

Although our next guided walk to the trackway is already fully booked, CITiZAN are putting on a further walk on 8th September. Click here for more details.

For those of you who are unclear about the location of the ancient forest and trackway, the Google Earth image on the right shows its location past the wooden groyne that juts out into the sea in a line with the edge of Chapman's Pond.

Although places on the guided walks are limited, due to the danger of getting stuck in the mud and caught by the tide, CITiZAN do not encourage members of the public to venture out to the forest on their own. The Heritage Lottery funding for the CITiZAN project runs until 2017, so there will be more walks in the future.
