1911 – family living at 24 Waterloo Street, New Boultham, Lincoln. Frank is a signalman with the Great Central Railway Company

1922 – Frank Hackney is listed at 67 Coronation Road in the local directory, occupation given as guard

Frank died nine months before Leonard (19/02/1940) at Grimsby Hospital, age 71

Scottish death certification shows that Leonard died at 5.40pm in Leanchoil Hospital, cause of death a motor cycle accident in which he collided with a motor lorry. Informant of death was Staff Captain W. Scott of the Royal Artillery. Leonard’s occupation in the RA is listed as a platelayer. Unlike many of the dead, Royal Artillery attestation documents show that he was in the military prior to the war.
