The Forgotten Spy - Saturday 12th September

Post date: Sep 04, 2015 8:14:54 PM

In a week's time, we will be welcoming back Dr Nick Barratt to the Memorial Hall in Cleethorpes for a talk on his latest book, "The Forgotten Spy".

The book tells the intriguing story of Nick's great uncle Ernest Holloway Oldham and his double life working for the British Foreign Office and as a Soviet spy in the murky world of pre-Cold War espionage.

Our researchers have been hard at work unearthing local spying secrets and have come up with plenty of surprising stories, all of which you will be able to view at next week's event. As always, we will be serving tea, coffee and delicious cakes and making a welcome return will be the Annikyra string quartet, who will serenade you whilst you feast.

Doors open at 12pm, with Nick taking the stage at 1pm. Admission is free.
