WELCOME TO FRIENDS OF CLEETHORPES HERITAGE ARCHIVE WEBSITE

Friends of Cleethorpes Heritage was a registered charity (number 1148859), originally established in 2010 to raise the profile of this Victorian town by showcasing the history of its great past, through encouraging and promoting community involvement in the protection, preservation, enhancement and development of the cultural heritage of Cleethorpes and North East Lincolnshire in general. The group closed on 31st October 2018, but you can continue to access our archive material, both on this website and our Facebook archive page.

"It's fabulous that so many people have come here on a perfectly good Saturday afternoon to sit and hear about the heritage of the area. "I am just bowled over." David Start (January 2017)

"I do a lot of talks about the Suffragettes all up and down the country, but I've never seen a meeting room as beautiful as this. Such a lovely event, with the cakes and the songs and the colours and all the information; it's a real privilege to be here"   Katherine Connelly (April 2015)

"I think this group is remarkable in what it does to protect and preserve heritage; there's a real community spirit and it's that sort of approach to history that I'm trying to promote"  Dr Nick Barratt (June 2014)
