Heritage Open Day a Great Success

Thank you so much to everyone who attended our Heritage Open Day event at the beautiful Cleethorpes Town Hall today. We had a steady stream of people through the doors all day and excellent audiences at each of our film screenings. We really appreciate all the positive feedback we received about our new films. It's a new venture for us, but one which seems to have worked and we will be looking to do more in the future. It may take a while though. The research into the Moodys and Kellys first began about 13 months ago when we were looking to take over The Knoll and even though our attempts were ultimately unsuccessful, it's great that something positive resulted from our efforts, in this case our film about George Moody, a truly remarkable man.We would like to once again thank our friends at Class Act Theatre Company who gave their time for free at the end of a long day of rehearsals. Their performances really brought the scripts to life and were superb, not least because they pretty much read them blind with no rehearsal and managed to get them recorded in the two hour window that we had in the glamorous surroundings of the kitchen at St Peter's Hall! Credit especially to Compass FM's Richard Lyon who, in his role as presenter Piers Conservation, had some particularly tongue twisting 19th century lines to deliver, for which he probably still hasn't forgiven me!

Thank you to everyone who bought booklets and merchandise. This wasn't a funded event, so your purchases helped greatly to cover our costs today.
