EVENTS UPDATE

We had hoped by now to be able to confirm the date for our proposed first event of the year, "The Building Bricks of Cleethorpes". However we are at present unable to do so because we're still awaiting confirmation of when the Townscape Heritage project will be starting as this would be one of their funded events,In the meantime, we are continuing our research into Sea View Street and Alexandra Road, focusing initially on the Empire Theatre, The Knoll, Queens Hotel, the antiques shops on Alexandra Road and Sea View Street and the sadly no more Cliff Hotel and Yarra House.

We are also planning for our Heritage Open Day event at Cleethorpes Town Hall in September, which will be following the national theme of "Extraordinary Women", the Heritage Lincolnshire theme of "Picturing the Past", as well as a celebration of 100 years of the Boy with the Leaking Boot. We're also hoping to include an art/photography competition on a Cleethorpes heritage theme.
