In the fourth instalment of the Edward Abey diaries, our intrepid engine driver has a few more crashes, does numerous jobs around the house, buys a new house, finds multiple ways to spell the word 'caterpillar' and attends one of the social events of 1889 in Grimsby, namely the visit of Sequah, the medicine man and miracle worker, who was in reality about as Native American as Alan Bennett.
