A Lost Soldier's Tale from Holland

Late in 2012, Friends of Cleethorpes Heritage were contacted by Gerard Jeuken from Holland, who was making enquiries about a young soldier, George Robinson, of the 10th Battalion Highland Light Infantry, who died on his father’s farm on 31st October 1944. 18 year old George was the son of James and Mary Jane Robinson from South Killingholme and Gerard was keen to get in touch with members of the family. 

Although FOCH were initially unable to help Gerard, we put him in touch with people who could and you can now read the results of Gerard's long search for information about the boy from South Killingholme by clicking on the PDF file below.
