About the Learning Experience
Students at Fair Oaks took on an exciting project to connect with their community. They began by creating detailed maps of their neighborhood, highlighting key locations for various community helpers. Using their map skills, students then programmed Sphero Indis to navigate these routes. The goal was to drive the Sphero Indis to the corresponding community builder near their school.
I learned where some things are, I learned about sharing, we worked on being better communicators when creating the map so we knew what everyone was working on.
This lesson has helped my students apply what they have learned in Science and Math to the real world. It has helped strengthen their collaboration and communication skills.
