While it may seem like the more expensive/higher quality putter is sure to make you play better. It's about the player and their style. A $100 PING putter compared to $500 Scotty Cameron putter. The differences that can help a player improve their game are completely based on the individual player and what are their specific needs. The PING Putters are one of the best putters available for $100 due to the unique feel and engineering behind them. This makes most players feel comfortable using them.
The PING golf Putter is made with heel-toe weight. This means that the weight of the putter head is evenly distributed from heel to toe for performance. The importance of heel-toe weight is that, even when a player misses hitting the ball in the center of the putter head, the putter head will not rotate or twist upon impact. Therefore, the PING Putter allows the player to still be able to roll the ball accurately toward the hole even though they did not hit it in the center of the putter head.
In addition, the PING Putter is also extremely low in the centre of gravity, which provides great balance to the putter head. The weight distribution at the low centre of gravity is where the majority of the weight of the PING Putter is located, and therefore, will allow the player the ability to easily keep the putter head square through impact, so the ball has a higher chance of going where the player wants it to.
In conclusion, just because your putter is 500$, it does not mean it will make you a better player. It's all about the individual player's stroke and form when hitting the ball to determine which putter suits them the best in their game.
