I've spent my time in Greenport for 13 years. I've enjoyed being here. I have so many memories, like Porter Day, homecomings, and most of all with the soccer team, I will miss them a lot. I feel happy and excited about graduating, but kind of sad that it’s almost over.
I’m going to miss Ms. Richard’s. She was the best teacher I’ve ever had. Another person I'm also going to miss is Mrs. Goldsmith. Even after she passed away she greatly impacted me and will always be in my and Greenport's heart.
My biggest and what felt like the most important moment so far has been regionals for soccer. Not only did we make it to the regional finals, which was Greenport's first time getting there and bringing a county final. Another big part of this is that we beat our biggest rival.
After I graduate I plan on going to college and working part-time, my dream college is Farmingdale. I want to go there for Horticulture, it's about plants, trees, all about the outdoors and nature. It covers agriculture and so much more.
My favorite year of high school has been my senior year, so far it’s already been full of events and memories that I won't forget. This year's porter day was wild, homecoming too.
I'm looking forward to my last prom and my senior trip. We are going to Virginia Beach. On our first day there we’re going to a park, on the second day I believe we’re going to both a beach and a haunted house museum, on the third day we’re going to a theme park, it’s undecided which one and then we come back to Greenport.
Student B:
E- so, you are a senior this year. How do you feel?
A- I feel a mixture of emotions, i'm excited to be out of school. The more i see this school the more tired of it i get, but Its gonna be weird to not have this routine anymore.
E- it seems like you are ready to leave, but is there anything your gonna miss?
A-im gonna miss the security guards. theyre so funny. playing volleyball with friends and other underclassmen. You know, Friends ive made that i wont be able to graduate with so..
E- it will be a hard change, but you do have things to look forward to this year. Like the senior trip, do you know where if going yet?
A- im not going to the senior trip but i'm gonna go to the spain and france trip.
E- Im going to that trip too, it will be a good experience before you go. With that, do you plan on going to collage? If so, do you have one you dream of going to?
A- Yes i plan on going. A dream collage not necessarily, what i wanna do is go to a community college and then transfer to another college. But who knows things might not go as planned.
E- yeah things dont always go as planned but it will all work out.
Do you have any hobbies or any little things you enjoy, that youd like people to know?
A- i like sleeping, a lot. I don’t have a secret talent. i can dance a bit, according to khandy and this one tiktok i made.I’m not beiing serious about that, can’t dance to save my life. I do like to read sometimes, playing sudoku, im kinda funny.
E- thats not a secret, you sound like a very entertaining person.
A-I think another thing i can do is just keeping conversations going, with anyone even if i dont know them well. I cant be nonchalant.
E- that is a very good quality, it shows that you are a very friendly and comforting person.
Do you have any favorite memories that youve made throughout highschool?
A-favorite memories? Thats really hard to say. I think one of my favorite memories was last year in math class for algebra 2, i had that class with khandy and thats when we got closer. That class was just so funny and i enjoyed it a lot. Another memory was the dig pink day, when i played that day i felt what adrenaline really was. I never really experienced it before that day. I was really focused on the game and enjoyed it a lot.
E- it sounds like youve had a really good time here, meeting all your friends and experiences. Im really happy with how our interview went and thank you for talking to me today. Im personally gonna miss you when you leave, you have been a good friend.
